why not to have year round school year round schools are great but they cut into family time. Most people love family gatherings and going to there cottage but how could they possibly do that is they don't have a summer break. Lots people send there kids to academic camps to keep their smarts, but its not the only reason! lots of parents send thier kids to camps sports and they want their kids to play.

Tuesday I was sitting in the train with my grandma waiting to go to the beach house we rented in the Netherlands. The train ride was about 30 minutes but it was so worth it, the beach house was huge it had a great view of the great blue pacific ocean my mom walked in and dove straight to the couch she was tired I joined her . it was about 7:00 until we went to see our rooms mine was big with a walk in closet it had a bunk with a nice big window! Crushing waves I watch the waves hit the dock of my cottage; it was summer time in northern Michigan. Me and Julia jumped off the dock and swam to shore to see where my dad was. he was upstairs Me and my cousin Julia went up stairs to ask my dad if we could go tubing, he was one step ahead of us he had the cooler, the drinks, and the keys to the boat he told me to start it up. I lowered the boat put in the keys and turned on the engine put down the trim we were ready to go. “All set” I shouted, my dad went to see who wanted to come on the boat he brought Uncle Dan, uncle mike, and my other cousins. We pulled out of the dock we got the boat started up went to the center of the lake “who wants to go first” my dad said everyone started to shout but not me. “Tom do you want to go first” yes I said I got on the tube” tom do you want usual speed”, “no dad… faster”! We got ready to go, I did a couple tricks, then I hit a massive wave but I held on, the blue water wet my face, it was a good feeling. The tube was in the air for 3 seconds everyone you looked at me amazed, my dad took a turn the tube was rolling on its side I held on, the water got all over my face I was soaking wet. My hand skinned the water. BAM! The tube went back down this was awesome but wait there was one more massive wave! I hit it I went up super high, it felt like I was flying the water beneath me looked so good in the… and SPLAT I hit the water the tube flipped I had wiped out. My journey to la la land was over I had hit the water. I wiped out this was the best, they turned the boat and came to get me. They lowered the ladder, “how was it” my dad said “awesome” I said with a shiver. They pulled in the tube and everyone else went, but no one had as fun as me!

the hut

The Hut Over the summer me and my friend’s kaden, brayden, toland and my little brother Sebastian had nothing to do, us kids refer to that as boredom! Kaden looked at some piles of wood and he glanced at the fallen tree,” Hey let’s build a tree hut”! “How are we going to do that” I said confused . Simple said toland we just need to lay the dead branches on the fallen tree and we can make a circle hut” “ok” I said amazed” let’s do it” I said we got to work we went day and night to the forest to build the hut it went great after a week it was finished. “It looks great” I said proud “same here” said bas we went inside it was huge we made a coat hanger a table and logs as chairs! “Nice work guys” said toland I’ll go get some chips and drinks to celebrate! “Cool” they said. After word The hut still lives today in evergreen woods As the story explained it was built by five friends As the story lives on!

So high up

So up high Last summer I went to the Netherlands to go see my family. After a couple days it got real hot so we decided to go to the. pool in the nether lands the pools are awesome their like water parks, they have water slides fountain and best of all diving board. It’s not your ordinary diving board one 5 feet above the water but the one was over 10 foot! My cousin dared me to do it I said “ok”, I leaned over looking down she said go but it was very faint nothing pure pressure and fright! I took a deep breath ran and did a big jump it felt like I was flying splash! The cold water rushed around me it felt great as I swam up out of the water my cousin was laughing so hard, “What’s so funny“I said with confusion? “When you jumped your face looked hilarious” she said “wow you’re really immature for an 11 year old” I said with a smile. “I’m going again” I said “just don’t make that face” she said!

I was nervous for like no reason the plane just scared me it was so high up , like up super high so high I wouldn’t even live if I fell in 70 foot deep water. It sounded like it was going to break down, “Thomas come on” my mom said “m-m-mom this plane dosent feel safe” “come on tom” “your four you’re a big kid but now and no buts we need to get on or we won’t get to America on time” “ok” I said with a sigh!

The Jump (+)

Thomas Forberg The Jump Last summer I went to the Netherlands to go see my cousins. We went to their house for dinner we walked in we all said hi my 8 year old cousin Tien was waiting for me at the back door he took me to the back yard, he said I dare you to jump out of my tree house onto the trampoline . NO I said. Snap said Tien with a attitude that sounded like he was going to bribe me, I’ll give you three euro’s fine I said with a moan. We climb over 15 feet up and up it was higher then it looked and the trampoline was so small! I took a deep breath and looked to my cousin looked down and whoosh I felt like I was flying I turn around and got ready to hit the trampoline the air felt great boom I hit the trampoline the bounce was incredibly high that I could almost touch the tree house again I bounced up and down again and again until it stopped turns out I was the first to do this, “wow” my cosin tein said with amaze gosh that was awesome he said my turn with joy he climbed up the ladder and I watched him go up and down and over and over he went we did this for about a hour till we ate dinner and that is the game we call the jump
